Students are ready to go the extra mile of bribing teachers,smuggling answer sheets and cheating to pass semester examinations.
136 such cases for use of unfair means were reported in colleges across Delhi University last semester.43 cases will be punished after the Examination disciplinary committee (EDC) ended its proceedings.
Many cases require an investigation where the alleged student tried bribing the teacher concerned.
Cheating cases involve carrying mobile phone inside the examination hall,carrying notes inside examination hall,replacing answer sheets and carrying pe written sheets.
“The students are pressing hard for early decision in their cases as they have to appear in the forthcoming semester examination and after receipt of decision letters, they are required to attend the classes and fill-up exam forms” an official from examination disciplinary committee said as reported by India Today.
