Now that exams have come to an end for students and winters have finally hit the city, people are having the time of their lives. Chilly mornings and evenings, everyday plans and with a lot of time in hand to do what you love, it surely is the best time of the year.
Half of December has already went by and we’re bracing ourselves for that beautiful time of the year again. Well lit and decorated areas of the city with Christmas trees, Confectionery and the never ending collection of cakes and pies make the Christmas season amazing. People go shopping, attend Christmas melas and various events, focus on their hobbies and spend time with their loved ones.
Christmas season also calls for a lot of binge watching. Lying in your bed, being covered under your blanket with some hot chocolate and mac and cheese while watching a good movie is surely the dream.

THE HOLIDAY 
It’s an American romantic comedy starring Cameron Diaz, Jude Law and Kate Winslet in lead roles. A story about two girls from different countries who swap houses for the holidays to get away from their relationship issues is surely one of the mass favorites. It’s a light-hearted movie and is surely a modern Christmas classic.¬†
HOME ALONE – PART 1& 2
Home alone as we all know is an American family comedy and has surely been a movie we all have grown up on. The 2 movies follow the adventures of a boy named Kevin McCallister who, during the course of the film, gets burglars Harry and Marv arrested by using booby traps. These 2 movies are like a roller coaster ride and a must watch around Christmas time. 
A VERY HAROLD & KUMAR 3D CHRISTMAS
This movie is the third installment of the Harold & Kumar series. The plot follows two estranged friends, Harold and Kumar who embark on an adventure to find a Christmas tree after Kumar destroys the original. It’s a crazy comedy movie which keeps you hooked till the end.¬†
LOVE ACTUALLY
A Christmas themed romantic comedy about eight couples who are trying to deal with their relationships in different ways. They discover how complicated relations can be and the impact they can have. It’s based in London.
SURVIVING CHRISTMAS
Another Christmas themed movie about a lonely, obnoxious and young millionaire who pays a family to spend Christmas with them. It’s slightly different from other american comedy movies but is sure as hell entertaining.¬†

It’s a classic romantic comedy about an owner of a bookstore who meets the owner of a quaint little bookshop online and yes, they fall for each other. The catch in the movie is the fact that they are unaware that they are business rivals.¬†
BAD SANTA
An American Christmas black comedy about a conman who dresses up as Santa with his elf partner who rather than spreading a good cheer, try to rob a mall. Their motive fails when the conman befriends an 8 year old boy and the security boss discovers the plot. 
A CHRISTMAS STORY 
This movie is about a 9 year old boy named Ralphi, who tries to convince his parents, teachers and Santa that he needs Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas. An american Christmas comedy based on the short stories by author Jean Shepherd. 
JUST FRIENDS
A light-hearted romantic comedy about a man who while visiting his hometown during Christmas, comes face to face with his high school crush whom he was friends with. A women whose rejection, turned him into a ferocious womanizer.
STAR WARS TRILOGY 
Technically, Star wars isn’t even remotely related to Christmas but then, it’s STAR WARS. For those who haven’t seen Star Wars, it’s an american epic space opera franchise. It depicts the adventures of various characters “a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.” So please watch it as soon as possible. For those who’ve followed the franchise, watch the whole trilogy again this Christmas and relive the magic.¬†
ELF
This one is a classic American Christmas fantasy comedy. Buddy, a human, is raised among elves at the north pole. When he discovers that he is not an elf, he travels to New York to search for his biological father. It’s sweet and funny. Just like Christmas.¬†
