DU Admissions 2017 : The online registration process to Undergraduate courses ended on Tuesday with a total of 2.20 Lakh aspirants applying to battle it out for 56,000 seats.The extension of the registration process by one day helped the university to garner 13,000 paid applications in the extended time frame of 24 hours.
Psychology Hons aspirants will have to really fight it out for a seat in Delhi University as there are 220 applicants for every single seat fighting on the available 323 seats available in the university.A course which has recently become very popular among students of all streams is tough to get into below a score of 94-95% as the course is offered at only seven colleges.
More than one lakh applications have been received for three courses,namely-BA Programme,Bcom Programme and English Hons.Political Science (Hons) fell short of the 1 lakh number by just 1000 applications.
In comparison to last year,there has been an overall decrease of 29,000 applications but that can be explained due to the fact that no multiple registrations were allowed this year.
The highest number of applications have been received by Delhi followed by Uttar Pradesh and Haryana just like every year.
