SOL DU Opens Registrations for UG Courses

Yesterday, the Delhi University School of Open Learning (SOL) proceeded with registrations for its Undergraduate courses just a few weeks after it began registration for regular courses. Students who have qualified for their 12th grade can apply for the School of Open Learning. 

The SOL has programs for BA Programme, BCom Hons, BCom, BA English Honours as well as BA Political Science Honours.

More About the School of Open Learning (SOL)

The Campus of Open Learning, earlier known as The School of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education, the SOL was established in 1962. It is a pioneer in the field of distance learning. The curriculum taught by this varsity as well as examination norms and admission process is governed and set up by the University of Delhi. It was set up to help students have access to good quality higher education and vocational skills via a flexible medium. 

Departments at the DU SOL

According to the SOL official website, the school has multiple centres throughout Delhi in South Delhi in Moti Bagh, and Study Centres in the Eastern and the Western part of Delhi’s national capital region. And the school offers degrees in science, commerce and arts in multiple fields. The medium of education is primarily printed material which is distributed by mail to all enrolled students. The materials are also available at all their study centres. The school is also staffed with experienced faculty to cater to students for in-person interactions.

Admission Process

The last date for applying is December 15 2021. Here is a closer look into their admission process:

One – Once on the website, students will need to set up a new ID under ‘New User’.

Two – Applicants will be required to fill a form.

Three – Succeeding which the student will require to process the fees and submit their filled application. 

Documents Required – Passport size photo, self-attested copies of grade 10 and 12 mark sheets and finally scanned copy of their signature. Also, category or income certificate if any. 

The university, however, is yet to open its registrations for PG courses to the School of Open Learning.
