The hectic lives and monotonous busy schedules are filling up lives with an unbeaten tiredness.The present scenario of increasing stress and depression among youngsters has become a global matter of concern.Despite of provision of all the worldly pleasures dissatisfaction has embedded its roots into our brains. The violent repercussions of mental stress and increasing suicidal attempts have forced us to think about bringing stability and peace to lives.The only to bring happiness is to meditate.But now,the question arises “How to meditate? ”
In this series,a step towards spirituality was taken by a group of students of Shri Ram College Of Commerce,Dellhi University by initiating the spiritual club of SRCC- ‘AATMAN’ in the college premises.
The club was launched by Mr.Venkaiah Naidu,Minister of Information and Broadcasting on 7th February 2017.He also appreciated this initiative on facebook.
AATMAN-The Mind,Body and Soul Club is a students-cum-faculty initiative convened by Mr. Santosh Sabharwal,HOD,Commerce Department of SRCC.It’s first workshop has already been concluded,which was a three day affair of Breathing Meditation, followed by Dance Meditation and Music Meditation.
The word ‘AATMAN’ is a hybrid of Hindi words Aatma (meaning Soul) and Mann (meaning Heart or Vision).The core idea of this club is to embed health,happiness and optimism right from the beginning of college lives.
The initiative is a representation of youth,wellness,optimism and a symbol of zeal among people,not just students but faculty too. The idea is to spread the thought of Live,Laugh,Love among the world and the initiative has already been taken.
Thus,the club works on the idea of “Search of Happiness Within” and is a successful start towards humanity,generosity and life.
