Mahamedhaa Nagar is one of the most renowned face amongst DU students or more precisely in politics of DU. Presently designated as secretary of the Delhi University Students Union, she has also been the roadies X4 contestant and the youngest Indian delegate at SAARC.
ALMA MATER : Being a resident of Ghaziabad she pursued her graduation in English Honors from Miranda house,DU and became Vice President of college and has probably chipped into almost every field of her institution.She is currently pursuing LLB from Faculty of Law,DU.
Activism and Accomplishments : Roadies journey has played a vital role in Mahamedhaa’s winning the post of secretary in college.
In 2014.she commenced her activist life after joining AKHIL BHARATIYA VIDYARTHI PARISHAD as Unit president in her college.
2015 was the year when she represented India as Youth Women Leader in USA at Kansas Women Leadership Institute.
In January 2016 she set a benchmark for the youth after becoming the youngest delegate in South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation. Mahamedhaa’s achievements did not restrict here passably the kick off start of her being activist with flying colors. Mahamedhaa Nagar has been a very bold member in ABVP and she has always fought for women empowerment mostly concerning in the areas like Sexual harassment Women leadership and has been in forefront in various protests such as Nirbhaya, Juvenile Justice Bill, etc.
In a conversation with DU Express, Mahamedhaa shared her experience and said “It has been a very emotional roller coaster ride from the very day I started but the organization, the students of Delhi University have always pondered and bestowed their trust upon me and I have always tried to live up to their expectations. It was difficult of course because I haven’t been grown with a silver spoon on my mouth.I come from a very average family,I am not the one who can flaunt fancy cars so everything I have achieved in my life is through hard work.This award is definitely going to be a payoff to the hard work that I have done in years.”
On asking further about her roadies journey and her experience she said “Roadies was very interesting but one thing that I understood that television is not my cup of tea.I am more of a field person but one thing is that no matter kuch bhi ho when I rome around in University even till date I ever been in roadies 2016 I remember so today we are in 2018 but just when I go to the colleges it is very nice people acknowledging you and remembering you,you are the one social activist from the roadies,so it is interesting.My gang leaders they have been the constant support,they guide me they motivate me.Yes it is interesting.”
This 23 year old young activist won half of the battle against her concern for menstrual hygiene of women when eventually she installed over 56 sanitary napkins vending machine in schools and colleges. She has been acknowledged with many other prestigious awards like :

It will be a real feather in the cap for Mahamedha Nagar as she will be awarded with the ‘WORLD YOUTH PRIZE 2018’ and the ceremony will take place in Colombo city, Republic of Sri Lanka. The ceremony will thereby be witnessed by HON’BLE Prime Minister of SRI LANKA, Higher level officials and  other Dignitaries with International Media.
Mahamedhaa on sharing her not so seamless journey so far as an activist says that many a times she was highly condemned,lathicharged in rallies but still continued with another force on another day.She believes that Roadies has literally paved her way to create her identity in the youth to grow.Last but not the least she aspires to remain a social activist and pull of her objectives as an activist.
