Admission Process Guide For ECA Aspirants : Steps To Follow After Clearing ECA

Got your ECA results but not sure about the process ahead? Follow tis article which mentions the whole of admission process under ECA quota in University of Delhi.Congrats for making it till the end!

Step 1: Candidates, selected in the merit list of any ECA activity final round trials, have to register their names in the registration and document verification sessions at all the colleges to
which they are seeking admission, where that specific ECA activity/sub-category is listed. They have to apply to the colleges in these registration sessions at the specific dates and times
notified in the uploaded document “Schedule for Admissions on the basis of ECA in Undergraduate Courses Р2017”.

There will be five rounds of registrations and admissions( more, if required). Candidates should note that each college will have the registration process separately, and that there is no
centralization of this process. Candidates will therefore have to apply separately to each of the colleges they are seeking admission to during the several registration and admission rounds.

Step 2: During the registration process, the candidate has to register his/her name in the specific ECA activity/sub-category and specify the courses in which he/she has already applied
in the admission form (specify the order of preference) and the percentage marks (academic) relevant to that course in respective colleges. If a candidate’s name appears in more than one merit list, he/she will need to register his/her name separately for each of those activities/subcategories,
even in the same college.

Step 3: At the end of each registration session (which lasts for 2 to 3 days), the college will notify the names of the candidates to whom it is offering admission in specific courses. (Please
refer to the ‚ÄúSchedule for Admissions on the basis of ECA in Undergraduate Courses – 2017″) document for dates of the notification of admission lists by colleges in different rounds.

Step 4: If the name of the candidate appears in the notified admission list of the college, two days will be given to secure admission in that round. (Please refer to the ““Schedule for
Admissions on the basis of ECA in Undergraduate Courses Р2017” document for the exact dates of the admission in different rounds.

Step 5: If the name of a candidate does not appear in the notified admission list of a college,the candidate is advised to once again register in all the colleges that he/she is seeking admission to, on the dates of the next registration round, as per the “Schedule for Admissions on the basis of ECA in Undergraduate Courses Р2017” document.

Step 6: This procedure will carry on either till the 5th registration session or till the time the ECA seats are filled in a college, whichever is earlier.

NOTE 1: Candidates are advised to carry all relevant documents while registering at the colleges during the registration and verification sessions.

NOTE 2: Candidates admitted under an ECA category have to sign a bond on a non-judicial stamp paper,committing to take part in that ECA activities of the college throughout their stay in college.
