Montage, the annual cultural fest of Jesus & Mary College (JMC) was held from 15th to 16th February 2019. The two-day long extravaganza had a plethora of activities, competitions and many gripping performances which led to ending both days with the most hyped star-studded nights.
Montage‚Äô19 on its first day marked its beginning by releasing colorful balloons to fill the sky, a memorable start to the event. The college was decorated with the theme of a fictional saga with items like poke-balls, miniatures of Harry Potter and other fictional characters and the eye-catching wings of color to add to the excitement of the crowd as a photobooth.¬†
The schedule laid out activities & competitions organized by Stagecraft by Troubadours, English Dramatics Society; Madrigal by ECHO, the Western Music Society ; eco-friendly competitions at Beaux Arts by IRIS, Fine Arts Society;¬† Panorama,¬† Film Appreciation Society, a Slam poetry by Peace Society; debating competitions; photography competitions by SNAPSHOTS; Quiz competitions by CURIOSUS and by other societies of JMC which ended with the Indian classical dance competition at Adaa by Nrityanjali, The Indian Dance Society.¬†
DJ Anish Sood gave a fun & electric touch to the first pro-nite and made the audience swivel to his peppy beats and EDM mixes which included ‚ÄòStarry Night‚Äô and ‚ÄòCastles‚Äô. His energetic and interactive performance was the highlight of the event and witnessed the crowd in great numbers.
On the second day, Montage‚Äô19 was even more vibrant and full of surprises! The event hit off with a power-packed performance at Awaaz by Kahkasha, The Hindi Dramatics Society; followed by a singing competition at Raag by Tarannum, The Indian Music Society; Doodling & Rangoli-Making Competitions at Beaux Arts by IRIS and activities/competitions organized by Curiosus, Peace Society, Green Society and others. The day was kept alive by jaw-dropping performances seen at Chimera by MUDRA, The Western Dance Society.
The renowned singing sensation and youth heart-throb, Amit Mishra brought the star night of Montage 2019 to an end with his mesmerizing performance. An enthralling musical atmosphere¬†captured the huge crowd and made them sway to ultimate hit tracks such as Bulleya, Manma Emotion Jaage & Sau Tarah Ke and also sang newer versions of Dil Chahta Hai and Kabira.¬†
JMC witnessed a huge footfall this year on both days at Montage 2019, and like the previous years it has managed the crowd in a very organized manner since JMC is very particular about security. Both days started and ended with a bang and provided a great platform to soaring talents and dreams.
