Ankiv Baisoya’s admission in DU’s Buddhist Studies Department was cancelled on 14th November 2018 itself, one day before the ABVP suspended him.The big decision was taken on the basis of Thiruvalluvar University’s written letter in which it was claimed that Baisoya’s graduation mark sheet was fake.

Prior to this, the HoD of Buddhist Department,KTS Sarao asked for a verification of Baisoya’s documents. Responding to his plea, TU Controller of Examination,B Senthilkumar penned a letter on 13th November. He mentioned, “With reference to the above, it is informed that the copy of the certificate of the following candidate has been verified and found that the said certificate is not genuine. It is a fake certificate”, as reported by The Indian Express.
