B.Com Program final year students of Aryabhatta College faced trouble writing their exam yesterday. They were given the wrong question paper to attempt.

The students had their micro-economics exam in the second slot of the day i.e. at 2:30 p.m. When they saw the paper, they found out that last few questions in the paper were completely out of syllabus. The students informed about the same to the professor who was on duty that time, who asked the students to continue attempting the paper until she calls their concerned subject teacher. When the subject teacher turned up, he advised the students to attempt the paper and whatever discrepancy has been found, the university would compensate for that by giving grace marks in the concerned subject. The students followed their teacher’s advise and continued attempting the paper.

The matter did not finish then and there. After a while of having started with answering the paper, someone from the administration came and asked the students to not attempt the paper anymore. Pertaining to the out-of-syllabus questions, the coordinator told them that they would get a new question paper to answer. It was all chaotic and not just those students but the other students in the examination room were disturbed by all that, too.

In a short while, another question paper came for the students of B.Com program. But ironically, that paper was of B.A. Program. The paper was shown to those students in order to make sure if the questions in that paper belonged to the B.Com Program syllabus. The students affirmed that the questions in the new question paper were from their very syllabus. In another fifteen minutes, the paper was photocopied and given to the students to attempt. The final attempt to the paper began at around 3:15 p.m.

“It was all chaotic and extremely disturbing. Such a blunder on the university’s part is not appreciated at all”, said a disappointed B.Com 3rd year student.

The failure of the university’s system of working did leave the students in a big trouble.
