While IIM Bangalore would’ve thought that CAT 2016 has been held successfully but reports of questions being leaked online during the test surfaced just after the completion of Slot-2 exam. The pictures of Slot 2 questions went viral across the student community on Facebook and Whatsapp with some even starting an online petition demanding a retest. The pictures were from the DI-LR and VA-RC section which were posted on a Facebook CAT Preparation group during the time of Slot-2 exam.
The news was picked up by many CAT trainers online and the petition was signed by more than 1500 students in less than 2 hours. Many news channels also mentioned about the alleged leak and IIM-Bangalore was quick to react. IIM-Bangalore issued a statement online yesterday around 11 PM agreeing to the fact that one case of malpractice has been discovered and legal action is being taken against the concerned person.Students while giving CAT 2016 agreed to a Non Disclosure Agreement which bounds the student to not disclose any questions outside. It was a big incident as applicants aren’t even allowed to wear shoes and socks inside. It shocked a lot of students as students aren’t allowed to carry Mobile Phones,Watches,Pen,etc anything else other than their admit card and ID Proof.
