CVS Administration Shields Accused Teacher,Asks Victim To Accept Apology & End The Matter;Takes No Action On Teacher

The Internal Complaints Committee is supposed to take an unbiased view in matters which come across them but it looks like the teaching & non teaching community of CVS doesn’t want to go against one of their own.The CVS administration is hell bent on shielding the accused teacher because ‘Uska career kharab hojaega’ ; ‘Aap abhi young ho’ and ‘Inka tenure khatam ho raha hai, aapka college bhi next month khatam ho raha hai’

The committee which was supposed to investigate the matter today has come up with weird excuses to prevent the victim from filing an FIR and taking action on the accused. The committee including college administration and faculty members from the department were putting pressure on the victim to end this matter here. When the victim said that she’ll be filing an FIR since no concrete action is being taken, the committee replied her by saying that why did she come to them in the first place if she had to file an FIR only.

Each and every reasoning provided by the accused teacher in his defence was crushed in front of the committee and students.

The committee members even asked other students whether the victim has given any ‘signals’ to the accused teacher in the past.

The Principal later told students that another committee will hear the matter on 5th April 2018 and they should wait till 5th April 2018 before taking any action but we at DU Express have been told that the students don’t want to wait till 5th April 2018 and are already planning a protest tomorrow.

This shows the mindset of people sitting in colleges to take action on issues concerning the students and faculty members. The attitude of CVS administration has been very casual. The victim and her friends are planning a protest in the college tomorrow and might even file an FIR against the accused teacher.
