Students of Delhi School of Journalism have approached the Ex-President Pranab Mukherjee in context of their demands which they have been demanding ever since they joined college. After multiple protests and requests to faculty members and senior authorities, eventually they approached the Ex HRD Minister Kapil Sibal regarding the same.Delhi School of Journalism was established in September 2017 with the sole aim of giving competition to the School of Columbia but it does not seems to even a bit of that. It has always been in focus of attention for not good reasons.Following are the demands of the students of DSJ:

  1. Removal of course from self-finance mode and granted under UGC which will result in minimal fees that will enable the underprivileged students to attain education.
  2. Establishment of media labs.
  3. Proper library and hostel facility.
  4. Availability of sports ground.
  5. Increased number of faculty member.

Its been a year since the students of DSJ have been protesting and pleading for their demands but clearly no action has been taken by neither government nor the University administration. “We all are trying to make our protest nationwide for which we have approached our Ex-President Pranab Mukherjee and he told us that our letter will be send to the Vice-Chancellor of Delhi University.” said Mohmmad Ali, a student of Delhi School of Journalism.
