Motilal Nehru College: In heart-wrenching news from the University of Delhi, a student of Motilal Nehru College passed away on May 25 under mysterious circumstances. Saurabh, a resident of the Kichha tehsil in the Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand was declared dead by the doctors at the Rudrapur’s MediCity Hospital upon arrival.
His kin took him to a private clinic at the Haldwani Road after he had complained of unforeseen ailments in the evening. The doctor at the clinic gave him an injection and sent him home. But his condition deteriorated after he had reached his home following which he was again rushed to the doctor who, in turn, referred him to Rudrapur’s MediCity Hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors.
The family is devastated by the loss and blames the clinic’s doctor for it. The boy’s father alleged that the doctor used an expired injection for the treatment which resulted in his death. According to the family, after the doctor had given an injection to the boy, his face and body continuously blackened.
The family has asked for police intervention in the matter to further inquire about the alleged misdoings of the doctor.
