This revised calendar is a product of the pandemic situation engulfing our country. Classes for Odd semesters usually start from Early July, however, due to Covid-19, the classes commenced from 10th August.

The academic calendar can be found on the DU website here.

With no mid-semester break and the winter break lasting for only three days, continuous online classes are bound to take a toll on students. Delhi University students have already expressed their discomfort with virtual learning and the new academic calendar just proves that the schedule for teachers and students will remain hectic throughout the semester.

The academic calendar notification dated 28.08.2020 is a revision of the previous academic calendars. The academic calendar has to be followed for all undergraduate and postgraduate courses across DU. The University is yet to issue any further notification regarding the mode of conductance of exams.

Moreover, no notification regarding the opening of colleges has been issued as the pandemic situation in India continues to worsen every day.
