DU Admissions 2017 : DU To Provide Free Coaching For Post Graduate Entrance Exams

Delhi University, on Tuesday, declared about a “Summer School” for students coming from economically weaker sections to help them sail through the PG entrance test. This initiative has been taken considering the trend of numerous applications for PG courses by students from financially feeble groups of society.

Following the path laid last year, this year also the varsity prepares to hold free coaching classes for the students recognized as aspirants from Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Minority and Persons with Disability (PwD).

DU Registrar said in a release,”This year, the University plans to hold free classes for PG entrance examinations in five disciplines- English, Law, Mathematics, Physics and Zoology. The duration of the classes will be about two weeks.” Possible dates for the commencement of classes of different subjects are 7 June and 9 June.

Students can apply for the classes by filling the ‘DU Pre-entrance Summer School’ form available on the official website of the University. The properly filled form has to be submitted at the Institute of Lifelong Learning (ILLL), North Campus, between 31 May to 5 June from 2PM to 5PM. On 6 June, which is the last day of applying, the forms will be accepted between 10AM to 2PM.

The admission to the Summer School for PG entrance test will be on a “First Come, First Serve” basis. A nominal fee of INR 100 will be taken from the finalized applicants. The classes will be held at the DU North Campus.

Candidates can be admitted to this Summer School only after they complete the online registration for the PG Entrance Test at DU’s website.

The online registration for PG admissions start from 31 MAY.
