Earlier, the registration process for the Delhi University admissions was to begin from 15th April 2019 and was scheduled to end on 7th May 2019. However, due to the changes planned to be made are in works, the admission process is likely to begin from 1 May 2019.
“The registration process will most likely start from May 1 as we are yet to complete the preparations. Once we are ready with the changed policies and procedures, we’ll come up with the revised schedules.” Rajeev Gupta, Chairperson of the admission committee was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
The reason behind the admission process getting delayed is the fact that Delhi University is working to get the database of students registered with the Central Board of Secondary Education.
“There will be lot more transparency if we are able to get their marksheets and certificates directly, however, the process of getting the database is still underway” a member of the admission committee said.
5% reservation has to be made for all students under sports & ECA quota in each course. Changes have already been introduced for the academic year 2019-20 where ECA and Sports quota admissions will begin before the release of cut-off lists and the stream change reduction has been reduced from 5% to 2%.
