The Delhi University admissions under the first cut-off list ended on Wednesday at 5 P.M. Starting Monday, the varsity accepted 37.14% of over 59,000 applications. According to the data shared by officials, of 59,730 applications, the varsity has accepted 59,730 applications while 11,248 students have already paid the fees.
Due to the pandemic, DU kept the admission procedure completely online. Hansraj College witnessed 293 admissions for Arts and Commerce courses and 277 admissions for Science courses. Anju Srivastava, principal of Hindu College shared, “It was a smooth process. Students still have time to pay the fees. We have had a good number of applications for humanities courses like BA (Honours) Political Science, BA (Honours) History and in science courses like Chemistry (Honours), Physics (Honours), and Zoology (Honours). We have approved close to 1000 admissions and 450 have paid the fees”.
Simrit Kaur, the principal of Shri Ram College of Commerce shared that the college witnessed 125 admissions under BA (Honours) Economics and 121 admissions for B.Com (Honours), whereas data shared by Rajdhani College shows that 35% of seats have been filled, with a total of 380 admissions.
