Just a week before the entrance test for the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at Delhi University which is scheduled on July 2,the university has decided to change the examination pattern.
This is troublesome now for students who had been preparing as per the old pattern since early days of college.
According to the notification, the new pattern will include 100 multiple choice questions on English language comprehension, general knowledge and current affairs, reasoning and analytical abilities, legal awareness, aptitude in the test.
The old pattern that comprised of 175 questions,50 of which focused on polity and constitution, the most scoring section, is now completely eliminated.
These series of changes have been made because of centralization of the entrance tests this year. Another change is that DU will admit just 1,440 students at its three centres this year as against the 2,310 last year.
So the matter is caught in a legal battle since the students aspiring for this course complain of the indecisive changes made by the authority and that too in nick of time.
