Printed Copies for 2021 Graduates Underway, New Data Collection Process
According to DU Dean of Examinations DS Rawat, the university plans to award degrees to all students who graduated the previous year. The varsity administration is currently sending the information for printing. Previously, DU gathered this data through colleges. However, it was a time-consuming and challenging process. Therefore, there had been a change in the process last year.
According to Professor Rawat, DU changed the examination form to require pupils to write their enrolment numbers and names in Hindi. This information was also reflected in their admit cards and grade sheets.
Later, over 1.7 lakh students received emails after the results were announced, asking them to verify their mark sheets. The university asked students to contact their individual colleges if there were any corrections.
According to the dean, the varsity acquired data on all students who graduated in 2021 as a result of this initiative.
Official data indicates that 77,563 normal students, including undergraduates and postgraduates, will receive their diplomas. Similarly, around 91,850 undergraduates and 1,126 postgraduates will graduate this year. In addition, the university will award roughly 650 PhD degrees this year.
Soft Copies of Degrees are also availableÂ
Due to the time it takes to deliver a printed degree, DU has also provided all students with soft copies. Students can pay a fee to download the degrees if they so desire.
In addition, all students will receive a paper copy of their diplomas. The cost of obtaining hard copies of degrees is nothing.
