DUSU Elections 2017 : The nomination and withdrawal procedure for Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) Elections 2017 got over today with all 3 major student groups releasing their panel for the elections which was kept as a close guarded secret till yesterday by NSUI and ABVP.
All India Students Association (AISA) released the list of candidates on 4th September 2017 after the nomination process got over.From AISA,Parul Chauhan will be contesting for the post of President,Aditya Baibhav will be contesting for the post of Vice President while Jaishree will be contesting for the post of Secretary and Akash Gupta will be contesting for the post of Joint Secretary.
The panel of Congress backed National Students Union of India includes Rockey Tuseed-President,Kunal Sehrawat-Vice President,Minakshi Meena-Secretary and Avinash Yadav-Joint Secretary.
RSS backed Akhil Bhartiya Vidhyarthi Parishad’s panel includes Rajat Chaudhary for President,Parth Rana For Vice President,Mahamedha For Joint Secretary and Uma Shankar for Secretary.
What isn’t surprising like every year is the fact that the Caste factor is still very much evident this year too with parties like ABVP and NSUI giving a huge weightage to it.
