DUSU Elections 2019 : Polling To Take Place On 12th September This Year

Delhi University has announced the election schedule for the most awaited and closely watched – Delhi University Students Union Elections 2019.The elections this year will be held on 12th September 2019 from 8:30 AM – 1 PM for Morning colleges and 3 PM – 7 PM for Evening colleges.

Students who are interested in fighting the election can file their nomination before 4th September 2019 till 3 PM.The scrutiny of applications will begin from 3:15 PM on the same day and list of accepted nominations will be published by 6 PM in the evening.

Cancellation of nominations will be accepted till 12 PM on 5th September 2019 and the final list of candidates fighting this year’s DUSU election will be published by 5 PM in the evening.

The date for counting of votes hasn’t been released yet.

DUSU elections are the most closely watched student union elections in the country.Delhi University has given many politicians to the country and some of them were a part of the Delhi University Students Union during their college years.Some of the well known politicians who won DUSU elections and made it big in the Indian political sene include – Arun Jaitley, Nupur Sharma, Amrita Dhawan, Alka Lamba, Ajay Maken, Vijay Goel, Vijay Jolly.
