Enactus IPCW’s Volunteer Program 2016

The Enactus Volunteer Program 2016 was a month long internship conducted from the 1st June 2016 to 30th June 2016 wherein students from different colleges of Delhi participated as volunteers for Enactus IPCW and helped in the promotion of Project Aipan. It focused on the areas of Marketing,Sales,Social Media Marketing and Market Research.

The opening ceremony, which was held on the 1st & 2nd June 2016 introduced the volunteers to the concepts of marketing and included a session with the social entrepreneur Chandni Aggarwal (Founder of Rural Odyssey).  Members of our community were also invited to the orientation and they interacted with Chandni Aggarwal and the volunteers.

The program was divided into two phases of fifteen days each. Before the second phase,a session on digital marketing was conducted by Onkar Khullar who is a successful entrepreneur.

During the course of the program, our volunteers were able to spread the word about Project Aipan to over a thousand people in total. They were also able to communicate with both sellers and buyers about the concept of Project Aipan and Aipan products. A number of potential collaborations were identified that would prove to be helpful in the future.

The tasks that we had designed for our volunteers helped them develop their marketing skills, and also gave them firsthand experience of the same. They gained insights about social entrepreneurship and a peek into the Enactus way of life. Shweta Kapoor, a volunteer, says, “I learned how to apply my theoretical knowledge of business and marketing practically.” This is the sentiment shared by many of our volunteers. The program has helped them broaden their horizons in numerous ways. Simran Kakkar says, “Working with Enactus IPCW was an entirely new experience for me.

The closing ceremony which concluded the program was held on the 29th June 2016. The volunteers were awarded with certificates and were also asked to recount their experience with Enactus IPCW. The program was an enriching and fruitful experience for both the volunteers as well as for Enactus IPCW.
