IIT Roorkee To Host National Social Summit From 8th To 10th February

National Social Summit, organized by NSS IIT Roorkee, is IIT Roorkee’s Premier Annual Social Festival and aims at bringing together NGOs, bureaucrats, government stakeholders and socially motivated students under a common umbrella to discuss technical and policy solutions to social problems. It has been operating pan-India in collaboration with various institutes, endeavouring to deliver on causes related to women empowerment, education, environmental sensitization, and mental health awareness. In the past, it has seen the presence of eminent personalities such as Ms. Kiran Bedi; Lt. Governor of Puducherry, Mr. Anil Swarup; Secretary of School Education and Mr. Anil Prakash Joshi; Social Activist and Padma Shri Awardee.

IIT Roorkee To Host National Social Summit From 8th To 10th February

This edition of National Social Summit is scheduled to be held from February 8 to February 10, 2019, on the theme of “Empowerment through Education”. Team Social Summit realizes the importance education plays in securing the future of underrepresented and underprivileged, and it strives to work at very ground for this initiative.

Social Summit is a two-day serving of collaborative workshops, case studies and insights from thought leaders. It also involves B-plan, Round Table Conference and Cultural Night events glorifying the summit. This summit is set to begin with the inclusion of Model United Nations (MUN) and Hackathon with renewed vigour and zeal. 

This year National Social Summit will feature the presence of Priyanka Raina; Founder of Gracia Raina Foundation, Deepak Ramola; TED Talks India speaker and founder of Project FUEL and Dr. Vijaypal Singh; Deputy Director of fssai.

So, be there from 8th to 10th February 2019 and become a part of this journey to enjoy the plethora of events.
