Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger,Co-founders of Instagram which was eventually sold to Facebook, resigned. But after their resignation, is it end of the instagram? Well Instagram is no longer going to remain same .However since June Instagram has quite attained 1 billion users and still emerging and as of now expected to make $8 billion in advertising revenue next year.
“We’re planning on taking some time off to explore our curiosity and creativity again . Building new things requires that we step back, understand what inspires us and match that with that the world needs ; that’s what we pan to do.” said Systrom in a blog post.
Adam Mosseeri, former VP of News Feed has been appointed the new instagram head. Snapchat is considered to be Instagram’s biggest rival and expected to make $2.7 billion in the same period and very similar features of snapchat has been added to Instagram which is very well going off like the story feature. “We remain excited for the future of Instagram and Facebook in the coming years as we transition from leaders to two users in a billion. We look forward to watching what these innovative and extraordinary companies do next.” said Kevin Systrom.
Systrom and Krieger’s exit might become a hindrance and influence in order to manage the under way crisis that Facebook has to look upon precisely the fake news manace and privacy violation. According to Systrom and Krieger, it can be quite daunting for Instagram to run at its previous pace and not loosing its independent identity in Facebook expedition.
As this year it is not something Facebook has been well payed off with many controversies going round the corner, Android Data Collection, Data Breach governing their systems. Probably Instagram can be a get away for under consideration till Facebook overcome its various controversies and ongoing breaches.
