If you were always confused about how to spend your free time in college then IP College students will now have an excellent resort from boredom.
Indraprastha College For Women is going to inaugurate a Music archives and Listening Room (MALR) where one can sit back, relax and enjoy the music this Friday. The college’s aim is to revive the old Hindustani classical music and to encourage the ‘Baithak’ culture that is disappearing gradually. The centre will have an elaborate catalogue of digitised music where students can listen to them. It will have a minimum capacity of 25 people.
The college plans to translate music compositions available in other languages and hold lectures amd discussions for students to understand the rich legacy of music.
The centre will remain open on days except Tuesday and Sunday. This is another one of the kind project started at IP College. Back in 2015, the college had inaugurated a Museum Archive and Learning Resource Centre.
