Sopore, Jammu, and Kashmir: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper and a civilian departed their lives while three other paramilitary personnel were injured after the militants opened fire at a patrol party in Sopore town of Baramulla district, Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday morning.
While two CRPF personnel are critical, one jawan has suffered a minor lesion. The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital in Srinagar.
A three-year-old boy was also rescued during the attack. His grandfather was shot and died on the spot, a senior police official said. “JKP #rescued a three-year-old boy from getting hit by bullets during #terrorist #attack in #Sopore.”, tweeted the Kashmir Zone Police.
This is the second attack on the CRPF in Sopore in the last three months. However, the area has been cordoned off and a search operation has been launched.
