JNU Post Graduate Admissions Delayed

Jawaharlal Nehru University on Sunday released a notification regarding a change in its Postgraduate admission process.

The notice mentions a delay in the release of the e-prospectus and the application process due to the change in the pattern of the examination. The exam, formerly conducted in the pen-paper mode will now be through a Computer-Based Test, thus the delay.

Earlier, the University wrapped up the application process in the month of October. The entrance exam was generally conducted in the last week of December.

PATTERN

The JNU entrance exam (JNUEE) is conducted for postgraduate admissions to 34 courses in 12 schools for 1025 seats.

The exam is Multiple Choice Question based, followed by a viva voce for specific courses.

No admission is given until and unless a candidate meets a required cut-off. (the percentile system does not work here).
