The Vivekananda School of Journalism and Mass Communication (VSJMC), Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS), New Delhi organized Newseum on the theme ‘Citizen Journalism’ on 27th and 28th March, 2019. Newseum is two-day exhibition organized by the journalism students with an objective to explore the less known facts related to Mass Communication and Journalism.
This was fifth edition of the Newseum.  The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr. Manikant Thakur , Indian Information Services (IIS) DD News/DD India and Dr. Radhe Krishan, Research Officer (Publication) CCRAS, Ministry of AYUSH.  Dr. Thakur addressed the audience on the topic Citizens and Modern Day Journalism and Dr. Radhe spoke on Newseum: Definition and Scope.  Vice-Chairman Mr. Suneet Vats; Chairperson VSJMC Prof Sidharth Mishra; Dean VSJMC Prof. (Dr.) Charu Lata Singh were also present in the inaugural session.
The exhibition also witnessed three literary events –Turncoat Debate, Words Warriors and Plan Builders. The exhibition and literary events saw participation from across the Delhi colleges. The last editions were on the topics including Pulitzer Award winning Photos, History of Journalism, Editorial Cartoons, and Investigative Journalism.
