The Kapil Sharma Show has managed to gather a big fan base, with Sunil Grover’s “Mr. Gulati” act being everyone’s favorite. Suddenly, the star of the show decided to quit. Want to know what went wrong? Read on!
It all happened when the cast and crew of The Kapil Sharma Show were on a flight from Melbourne to Mumbai on March 16, where Kapil was drunk.
His team began eating food which was served by the cabin crew soon after takeoff from Melbourne. This made Kapil furious who expected others to wait for him as he was still drinking.
Kapil was heard saying “Jab maine khana shuru nahi kiya toh tum logon ne kaise le liya khana?” He continued to swear and a woman passenger, not part of his crew, complained of bad language. This is when Sunil Grover tried to calm Kapil down. According to an eyewitness, ‘he got up, took off his shoes, and hit Sunil. He even pulled Sunil’s collar, and repeatedly slapped him.’
He also shouted “Tum logon ko maine banaya hai. Sabka career khatam kar dunga. Sabko nikaal dunga main.”
Reportedly, Chandan Prabhakar and Ali Asgar have also boycotted Kapil Sharma Show.

Funnily enough just before Kapil and Sunil’s fight became viral, Kapil announced his relationship with his girlfriend Ginni Chatrath. We are left wondering, could this be his way of diverting attention from his drunken antics?

 NEW CAST
If rumors are to be believed, in his attempt to ensure the show isn’t affected Kapil has reportedly roped in a new cast. This includes Raju Srivastava, Sunil Pal, Ahsaan Qureshi and Rajeev Thakur.
WHAT NOW?
This latest news is doing the rounds that the show is up for renewal next month with people claiming it would be a Rs 106-crore deal, but the channel is apparently not sure about renewing the show. “Kapil has had to cancel shoots as he couldn’t get big celebs as guests. He has, in fact, left for Bikaner to shoot for his film, Firangi, and will return to Mumbai on March 29,” a source was quoted by DNA.
Well, the last time our Mr. Gulati left the show Kapil’s TRPs went down. Here’s hoping our favorite character comes back because frankly, the show is nothing without him!
