KMC Bags Gold In Mens Category & Lakshmibai College Bags Top Spot In Women’s Category In Inter College Boxing Championship

Kirori Mal College became Boxing Champion 2019 by clinching Six Gold, Two Silver and One Bronze. Gold by Akash , Ankush , Satyam, Ishmeet, Manvinder & Harsh, Silver by Ayush & Aaryavir and Bronz by Rishabh. Also Himani secured Gold in Women 48 Kg category. All trained by Coach Mr. Manoj Panwar.

As told by organizer Dr. Benu Gupta, KMC boys secured 23 points by their zealot performance whereas Dayal Singh College stood Second with 14 points and Deshbandhu College stood third with 6 points. In women category Lakshmi Bai College became Champion with 15 points, Jesus & Mary College secured second place with 11 points and Kalindi College stood third with 8 points. Total 14 Teams with 66 boxers in men category and 18 Teams with 83 boxers participated in four days Delhi university Inter College Boxing Men & Women championship 2019 held in Kirori Mal College Sports Complex. The event was conducted under the aegis of Delhi University Sports Council.

The championship was Presided by the principal Dr. Vibha Singh Chauhan and graced by dignitaries like Olympian & Arjun Awardee Boxer Mr. Dharmender, Delhi Amateur Boxing Association office bearer Mr. D.N. Yadav; Mr. Brij Mohan; Ram Khiladi Yadav, Mr. Kuldeep Vats President DOA, Mr. Lalit Mohan Yadav, KMC Boxing Alumni and Asian Champions Mr. Pradeep Kharera, Mr. Vaibhav Singh Yadav, Col. Suresh Dhull, Mr. Naveen Raheja and many more .
