Every person has a story and the best way to tell that story is to recite it as a poem. Keeping exactly this thing in mind, the English literary society- LOGOS, of Janki Devi Memorial College, organized their first event of slam poetry on November 3rd with high hopes which surely were fulfilled. The team members strained every nerve to make their first event a huge success. With the decoration of the mic with the fairy lights to the puns pinned up on the board for a laugh, everything was just simple and perfect. Keeping in mind the odd times that hunger strikes, the members kept a small snack table for the participants to ease their stomachs with delicious muffins and chips. Innovative bookmarks were also presented as a friendly gesture from the team.  The very atmosphere inside the room could turn anyone into a poet and entangle a person in its own world. Students showed a great zeal and turned up in a huge number to participate in the competition and just to mention, everyone was terrific. Each one of them had a story to tell including the respective judges – Ronojoy Sircar and Ambikesh Sharma, who’s masterpiece gave chills and goosebumps to every person sitting in the room. The winners of the competition with Diksha Bijlani on the first position,Mariyam Fatima on the second and Ditsa Bhattacharya at the third position, didn’t just win the competition but also hearts of all the people seated there.
