Maitreyi College Conducts Conference On River Pollution

Maitreyi College of University of Delhi conducted a conference on Friday regarding river pollution. The conference was in a collaboration with the central government’s department of biotechnology.

This event provided a platform to students from around 80 schools in Delhi to acquire knowledge on pollution and waste management in the river Yamuna and the environment.Through this event, students expressed their understanding of such issues through the means of skits, short films and a poster-making competition.

Balaganpathy Devarkonda, Chairman of the governing body of Maitreyi College said, “These kinds of events are very important because they are the ones that bridge the gap between elementary and higher education.”
