NIRF Ranking 2021: Delhi University at #19

On Thursday, September 9, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, released the NIRF Rankings for the year 2021. The Rankings have been released under various categories, including, Engineering, Pharmacy, Management, Overall, Research, etc.

IIT Madras has topped the rankings in the overall category. After that, IISc Bengaluru has stood second, followed by IIT Bombay on the third position. Accordingly, the complete list of the rankings for all top institutes can be checked on the official website of NIRF on nirfindia.org.

At last, the University of Delhi secured its place at 19th position in the overall category. However, Miranda College, Lady Shree Ram College for Women, St. Stephens’s College, Hindu College and Shri Ram College of Commerce have been successfully placed under the top 10 colleges. Meanwhile, Sri Venkateswara College, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharm College, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, Hans Raj College, Gargi College, Kirori Mal College and Acharya Narendra Dev College secured 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 16th, 17th and 20th position respectively.

This year the NIRF has released the sixth annual ranking list of higher educational institutes of the country.

The rankings for all colleges and universities across the country given by the Ministry were based on teaching, learning and resources; research and professional practice, graduation outcome; outreach and inclusivity; and peer perception. Additionally, the stream-wise rankings have also been released.
