As per the NIRF ranking released on 11th June 2020, Delhi University’s Miranda House has topped the list of best colleges in India for the fourth time in a row. 5 Delhi University colleges are among the top 10 colleges, 12 colleges among the top 20 colleges, and 29 colleges in the top 100 colleges across the country as per the ranking.
Delhi University has moved up to the 11th position his year in the university ranking. It had earned the 13th position and seventh position in 2019 and 2018, respectively. Also, there was a slight improvement in its overall ranking as well. It moved up from 20th position last year to 18th position this year. It was placed 14th in 2018.
Delhi was a destination to the maximum number of ‘best’ colleges last year as well. Lady Shri Ram College for Women and Hindu college secured second and third positions, respectively. St. Stephen’s College came fourth while Hansraj College secured the ninth position.
The other colleges in the top list are Presidency College (5), Loyola College (6), St. Xavier`s College (7), Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Kolkata (8) and PSGR Krishnammal College for Women (10).

Rank 14: Sri Venkateswara College

Last year, Hindu College was ranked second. St. Stephens’s, Lady Sri Ram College for Women, Shri Ram College of Commerce, and Hansraj College had bagged the fourth, fifth, seventh, and ninth spots respectively. Apart from that, 22 colleges had featured in the top 100 colleges list last year– 7 less than this year.
