NIT Jamshedpur’s annual techno-management festival Ojass, touted as one of the largest fests of eastern India is set to kick off on April 5, with participation of a huge number of future engineers from several engineering institutes across the country. Spread over three days, the mega fest this year has been titled EpyllionD√©Science which as the name suggests, will cover the journey of Science and technology from historic times to the current lightening fast era of 21st century.

It will host a vast series of competitions covering all domains of science, technology and management along with lavish prizes worth more than Rs 20 lakhs. The mega events being BIZZATHALON(A Business Quiz) and Robotic events like BOT A MAZE, 360 MANIA, Kurukshetra etc. BIZZATHALON this year will be conducted by former Tata Crucible Champion and alumnus of the institute, Mr Palak Kumar. Most of the fest events will have judges from outside the institute in order to give the students a wider exposure to this competitive world.The fest this year is sponsored by big MNCs like Pizzahut, HBR Ascend, Ixigo, L’oreal and many more. Ojass takes itself a notch higher by providing guest lectures series every year. First in this series, the institute will host the nuclear man, Padma Shri and Padma Vibhushan recipient, Dr Rajagopala Chidambaram, former director of BARC and a top science advisor to the Govt. of India at present. Apart from these knowledge imparting guest lectures, Mr. Manish Tyagi, a commander turned comedian will also be in the campus with his refreshing motivational session and valuable life lessons along with a proper dose of comedy.With the high web series fever these days, Ojass’19 will be hosting¬† Jasmeet singh and Shivankit parihar from The Viral fever. It is surely going to be a great extravaganza for all those who are participating.
