The Career Counseling and Placement Cell, Zakir Husain Delhi College organized its 3rd Annual Job and Internship Fair on February 10-11, 2020. The inaugural session commenced with the ‘Welcome address’ by Dr. (Prof.) M.A. Beg, Principal, Zakir Husain Delhi College followed by an inaugural lecture by ‘Honorable’ Guest Speaker Shri P.C. Vishwakarma, Ex-Director, Department of Telecommunication, Government of India.
Shri Shashank Kumar Sawan (IPS), DCP, HQ-Gurugram, Haryana further enlightened the young minds through the interactive session with the students. The inaugural functions culminated with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Ragesh P.R., member, Career Counseling and Placement Cell.
The two-day event was aimed to provide job and internship opportunities through around fifty companies to students of Zakir Husain Delhi College as well as other colleges of the University of Delhi. The inaugural function was followed by the interviews conducted by executives of various companies and NGOs. HCL, LIC, HealthMug, Policy Bazaar to name the few, forty companies visited the campus on the first day to provide students an opportunity of internship/job. The overall footfall of the students on the first day was around 800.
