There is certainly no doubt that innumerable seminars, events, talks and workshops are organised in various colleges on a regular basis.

While many students tend to overlook them because they don’t find them valuable or interesting, these events certainly are significant and worth attending due to various reasons-

These sessions provide education not from books, but though practical examples and real life experiences. Eminent personalities and reputed organisations who conduct these sessions help the students to gain an insight of the outside world at an early age so that they have an idea of what the competitive world has in store for them when they step out of their comfort zone.

There may be few activities or games organised at the event in which students may participate and showcase their talent. Such activities allow the students to express their creative abilities and they may even get to learn about their hidden skills through their participation. They can even interact with and ask their queries to the speaker.

Winners of the competitions get laurels and prizes and even runners up also get participation certificates which can add feathers to the one’s cap and enhance one’s CV as well.

Students may develop new way of looking at things by observing other participants’ skills and also through the guidance given by the speaker which motivates them to experiment with things rather than just following the conventional ways.

Thus, one should always try to attend such informative sessions to learn things outside the classroom.
