Should I go for the college or Should I go for the course? This is one of the most perplexed choices that a student has to make while getting admission in Delhi University.College over Course or Course over College? Well, honestly there is no standard answer for this situation. It always depends upon the goals and interests of an individual and their expectations from their ‘going-to-be’ college.

Delhi University is a big whoop with lots of opportunities and experiences.Be it any college,it gives you vast opportunities to learn, groom and explore yourself. From the vast number of societies to biggest conferences, from getting sponsors to fill your databases every college gives you ways to learn. But the opportunities definitely vary.

But to choose a better course or better college is one important task. And your interest plays a vital role in this decision.

If you know your interest areas well and plan to be course oriented and up to mark in your academics, then your choice should always be course and not the college. Because taking an undesired course just for the name of the college would do nothing but create problems for you in the upcoming three years. A night before your exams would be really hard and you’ll keep on cursing yourself for not choosing something that you’d have done better in.

Choosing a better and desired course would help you build up your academics and you can also cater opportunities from other colleges in forms of competitions. Well, Delhi University is known for its versatile festivals and competitions.

But at this point of time, not everyone has the clarity of their goal. And trust me, its okay! It’s okay to be clueless but make sure to be ambitious.

So, if you’re an explorer, go for the best college that you get and give yourself chances to develop your interest and goals. The three years is fully yours, take chances, explore, learn and groom yourself to the best.

I could tell this to you better, since I am myself a victim of this college or course dilemma. 😀

I wanted to pursue literature but SRCC being the biggest dream, I chose B.Com (Hons). Stuck within accounts and laws, my heart somewhere still dreams to study literature. But I’m thankful enough that DU has provided me various ways to cater my passion in writing and live my dream sideways.

So, choosing course or college is no hard and fast rule, but ‘exactly what you want’. Go for your desired course if your interest lies there, but if you’re clueless, better college shall be your choice. At last, learn, groom and explore! It’s going to be the best three years that you could have.

All the Best!
