The recent incident related to the meeting between Kulbhushan Jadhav and his family is as unpleasant to the ears as it gets. It seems like, it was merely an act of coercion, and lacked credibility. Indian Government has sharply criticised this mischievous act by Pakistan.
In what seems to be an act of highly cocky and non-humanitarian nature, the religious sentiments of the family of Kulbhushan Jadhav were totally discarded by the Pakistani officials. His wife was forced to remove her bangles, bindi and “mangal sutra”.Not only this, his family members were allegedly harassed by the Pakistani media and officials. Their connections were cut-off if they spoke in their mother tongue.
And if all this wasn’t enough, shoes of his wife were kept by the authorities and sent for inspection.
This incident has raised temperatures inside the Lok Sabha. Some say that Pakistan need to be taught a lesson, some call them hypocrites, and others blame them for insulting India’s sentiments.
Whether Pakistan was justified in doing all this or not, is left to one’s own opinion. But, the way things are shaping up, is not the way to go about it. Not just an Indian, but any living being with human emotions will be shaken up by the tragic story of Kulbhushan Jadhav. And the constant attempts of the Indian Government prove how much they are determined to bring him back to his own motherland. On the other hand, Pakistan Government should deal with it in a little more sensitive manner.
Harassing the family of Jadhav, is something that has led to putting a blot on their face owing to their own actions. Humanity is something that they need to imbibe in themselves. They need to learn to respect the values and dignity of the other people keeping intact the rules and laws of their own nation.
