There are two possibilities – either we read novels first then watch movies based on it or us watching first and reading next. I can cope with other possibilities too but those do not count much since with good novels came good movies and good movies came from good novels.
Many great novels are there in the arena to choose from but these three novels are topping the charts everywhere. Let’s have a look at them one by one:
1.HARRY POTTER

Planet Earth got a magical world too.The wizardly world of Harry Potter has enchanted readers to stir up in the search of their own magical world that is related but kinda anew. A series of fantasy novels chronicling the life of a young specky wizard, Harry Potter (the boy who lived), and his friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasely, all of whom are students at Hogwarts toiling against Lord Voldemort, a dark wizard has never failed to arouse the feeling of taking a wand in the hands and spelling “Wingardium Leviosa”

The novels’ transformation into films have enchanted the same spell as mighty as its provenance with the first movie in the series in its opening weekend setting a record opening worldwide and all the films have been a success financially and critically.

2. THE LORD OF THE RINGS

Author: J.R.R. Tolkien

The Lord of the Rings is an epic high-fantasy novel encountering the course of four hobbits Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin along with their Chief allies and traveling companions on a quest to destroy the “One ring” created by the main antagonist Dark Lord to conquer the world.
The Lord of the Rings is one of the bestselling novels ever written, with over 150 million copies sold.
The movies adopted are as admirable as its novels. A film series consisting of three films was a major financial success collectively being among the highest grossing film series of all the time.
What’s in it for you: To indulge in the long travels with destination in mind but not ways but finding it eventually, a giant-sized but deprived Talking Tree (which is as peaceful as our trees are but one of the victims of deforestation too) giving soliloquy detailing how its forest got ruined and a procrastinator (in our language but you know trees are a symbol of patience too), a twisted corrupted creature who echoes of Ring as his “Precious” and will go at the tip of the river of fire (and eventually falls off too) only to see the shine of the ring in his fingers, the coping stages between so much cool-headed Elf and too much hot-headed dwarf! If you are looking for this, this is surely your movie and novel.
3. HUNGER GAMES
First Novel released in: 14 September, 2008
Author: Suzanne Collins
Adopted into films from Year: 2012
The Hunger Games is a trilogy of young adult dystopian novels. The first two books in the series were both “New York Times best sellers” and the third topped all US best sellers lists upon its release.
The novel showcases a country consisting of a wealthy Capitol and 12 districts in poverty on which Capitol rules. The Capitol is richer than need be and districts are poorest to have only bones and rags. The novels’ lead Katniss Everdeen of district 12 along with other districts’ tributes are forced to fight in an arena called “Hunger Games” as a punishment for a past rebellion. Katniss defiance in the arena created a chain of reactions that inspired rebellion making her a “Hero” ultimately getting rights to its districts.
Talking about films, The Hunger Games is the 15th highest-grossing Film Franchise of all time.
What’s in it for you: From “with people of Capitols drinking a syrup to vomit the freshly eaten cravings, so as to stuff new more cravings from the buffet into their mouth because according to them this is the only way to enjoy every dish present in the party” to “people of districts smelling a piece of bread hundreds of times before eating to catch it up in their appetite and to remember its taste forever.
