University Grants Commission (UGC) has invited 20 Delhi University (DU) colleges for a workshop on the topic of ‘Autonomy’.The invites have been sent on emails and Principals have been asked to attend the workshop to clarify their doubts over autonomy and the regulations surrounding it.

A similar workshop happened last year which triggered protests in the University with allegations of ‘Privatisation’ and ‘Commercialisation’ being levelled against the authorities by various student and teacher organisations. In a similar news,Hindu College enquired Union HRD Ministry whether funds would be cut under the autonomy process or not.
