Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the results yesterday, post the interviews held back in 2018.
Kanishk Kataria topped this year’s UPSC examination while Akshat Jain and Junaid Ahmad followed with AIR 2nd and 3rd respectively.
It is a proud moment for Delhi University as Delhi College of Arts & Commerce graduate, Shubham Gupta secured an AIR of 6 in the examination.
In total, 759 candidates have been chosen for posts like IAS, IPS among others. Out of the 759 candidates, 577 are men and 182 are women.There are 10 women in the first 25 rank holders.
“I worked outside India for sometime and realised India also needs good quality development. If I can help in inclusive growth and infrastructure development, it will be much more satisfying than earning big amount of money outside India,” Kanishk told Hindustan Times.
