The With Love SRCC initiated a doorstep plastic collection and Plantation Drive- “Plastic Do, Paudha Lo” in which over 150 plants were planted in DDA Park, Azadpur and 19¬†kilos of plastic waste was collected from 220 residents of the M2K Apartments Victoria Gardens, Azadpur.
The event was inaugurated by Ms. Ira Singhal, SDM Alipur; Ms Tripti Somani, CEO, KGS Advisors and Founder of Gvriksh; Ms. Ruchi Maheshwari, Head of Womennovator, U.P.
The event was graced by Mr. B.K. Goyal, Professor SRCC and Mr. J.B. Gupta, Secretary of M2K Apartments.
An oath was taken by the residents of the apartment to reduce plastic usage and abide by the 4Rs- Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. A petition was also signed by the residents for stricter implementation of Extended Producer Responsibility.
This event marks the beginning of the NO PLASTIC WEEK in Delhi from 23rd April-27th April wherein the citizens shall actively make efforts to reduce plastic usage in their day to day lives. Various Schools across Delhi NCR shall be conducting Awareness sessions on this poignant issue and shall be collecting plastic waste to ensure proper disposal.

With Love SRCC is on a mission to mobilise citizens especially Youth from all parts of the country to pledge their support for ending ‘The Plastic Jam’ and consciously take an effort to Reduce the use of plastic, Reuse it and contribute towards management of plastic waste through recycling and segregation of waste and sign a petition asking the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change to take steps on efficient implementation of the Extended Producers Responsibility.
