Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today announced that the Delhi government has identified 20 Covid-19 hotspots that will be sealed to stop the spread of Covid-19 disease. The names of the hotspots haven’t been announced till now.
The full list of areas to be sealed in Delhi is probably going to be issued on Thursday. In an India Today report, some of the areas in East Delhi which are going to be sealed include – Mandawli Gali no1, Pandav Nagar H block Gali no 1, Khichdipur Gali no 1-3, Kishan Kunj Extn Gali no 4, 2 apartments in IP Extension (Vardhaman, Mayur Dhwaj), Mansara Apartment in Vasundhra Enclave
The Delhi government will ensure that essential services are provided to citizens in these sealed areas via door to door delivery.
Wearing masks while going out has also been made mandatory in Delhi to stop the spread of Covid-19 virus.
Wearing of facial masks can reduce the spread of corona virus substantially. Therefore, it has been decided that facial masks will be compulsory for anyone stepping out of their house. Cloth mask shall be eligible too.
