Activists of the Left-backed AISA and the RSS-affiliated ABVP today allegedly clashed in Delhi University where counselling sessions on admissions to the varsity were taking place.
Though both groups filed cross complaints, no FIR was registered, an official at the Maurice Nagar police station said. “It was an argument between them,” he said.
“When I along with two others of AISA were distributing pamphlets about the varsity’s admissions procedures, ABVP activists manhandled me and threatened to kill us,” Banshi said.
However, Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) President and ABVP member Amit Tanwar had a different version of what happened. “Three AISA activists teased a girl on the campus. We caught hold of one and warned him while others escaped,” he said.
