The Common Admission Test (CAT) is India’s most competitive management entrance test for admission to post-graduate management courses. Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM-C) is set to conduct the exam this year.There are around 2 lakh candidates for 5000 seats in IIMs every year.
It is an online-mode exam which gets admission in the 20 IIMs and more than 100 Business schools in India. Delhi University, too, accepts CAT score for admission to the full-time MBA programme.
According to the official announcement made on the official website (iimcat.ac.in), CAT exam will be conducted on 25 November 2018, Sunday. Registrations are expected to begin from the first week of August. Moreover, another detailed announcement will be made in July or August.
The registration process is online and payment has to be made by credit/debit card or net banking. The expected application fee is Rs. 950 for SC/ST/PwD and Rs. 1900 for other categories.
