The pandemic due to novel coronavirus has forced its postponement for the fourth time.
The official website of CLAT organizing Consortium of National Law Universities reads, “Registration for the examination closed on 10th July 2020. The exam scheduled for 22 August, has been postponed until further notice.” The new dates are speculated to be announced in September after consulting with the Education and Home Ministries.
According to some reports of NDTV, Vice-Chancellor of Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur, and CLAT 2020 Convenor Professor Balraj Chouhan on Wednesday declared the further rescheduling.
“We want every student to get their fair chance to appear for the exams. Due to the lockdowns announced in various parts of the country, students will find it difficult to appear for the exams. Keeping that issue in mind, we have decided to postpone the exams until further notice,” Prof Balraj further said.
