Named after Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur,the ninth Sikh guru, established in 1951.The college is maintained by Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC).Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College is a college under Delhi University and Dr. Jaswinder Singh is the college principal.
The major aim of setting up college is to provide access to young Punjabi Refugees of Partition in 1947 and preservation and promotion of Punjabi language and culture.

HOW TO GET IN ?
Students have to fill the common admission form on the Delhi University portal and select the college. After the cutoff,the student needs to report in the college with required documents.
NOTE: There is no separate application form for students other than belonging to Sikh community applying at SGTB Khalsa College as the college was established keeping in mind Sikh minority, the college reserves 50% of its seats for Sikh students who wish to study Punjabi as a part of their curriculum. Although, no reservation is given to SC/ST or OBC students.
PLACEMENTS
IGNITE is the name of the placement cell of the college. TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, IBM Daksh, Genpact, ICICI Prudential and Ernst and Young are some companies which recruited the students in the past few years.
CAMPUS AND INFRASTRUCTURE
According to the information on the college website,“The College has 59 classrooms, 19 well-equipped labs, 6 research labs, excellent indoor and outdoor sports facilities, gymnasium, cafeteria, bank, and medical facilities in very close proximity, besides other utility services such as the post office and market.” It is further reported, “A Hostel for Girls can accommodate 147 inmates, and a Hostel for Boys is planned to come up soon.”
.The most of the classes are air-conditioned with projectors installed in them. The college campus is fully air-conditioned. The library is ICTenabled with the facilities like INFLIBNET and online resources of IUC. There are two canteens in the campus. Also, there is a gymnasium and the bank facility on the college campus.

COLLEGE EVENT – ANNUAL FEST
A four-day event took place successfully from 22-25 february, 2017 in the college named “LASHKARA”, which is the annual fest of the college. Guru Randhawa was invited for the Star- Performance.

There is a beautiful space in the center of the college campus called “Jannat” where students hang out. There is café day in the college premises. Tom Uncle Maggie point also nearby to the college. Also, one can enjoy to the fullest at the Kamla Nagar market and GTB Nagar. There are several food points from McDonald’s to the Big Yellow Door. Also, there are several lounges worth visiting.
