After selling tikkas and rolls to millions, Khan Chacha today, was found selling oxygen cylinders illegally at its Khan Market outlet. This comes as a thunderclap while the public is beseeching for oxygen cylinders.
DELHI RESTAURANTS & HOARDING OF OXYGEN CYLINDERS
After raiding Nege Ju Restaurant & Bar in Lodhi Colony on May 5 and arresting its manager and three others along with 32 oxygen concentrators, the police found that they were hiding oxygen concentrators in two more restaurants in Khan Market. The manager of Nege Ju, Hitesh Prakash unraveled the storage of some units at the far-famed Khan Chacha and Town Hall.
During verification, it was found that the owner of all three restaurants is the absconding Navneet Kalra.
With everyone around harping about the paucity of oxygen cylinders under the dreaded wings of COVID-19, this stands out to be a mammoth crackdown against hoarders selling oxygen concentrators in the black market. Delhi Police has seized over 450 oxygen concentrators in multiple raids across the city, the biggest being at Lodhi Colony itself.
